About

Good causes deserve better intelligence.

Too many organisations spend months chasing funders who were never a fit, or sign partnerships without checking who they are working with. Wealth for Impact Advisory was set up to change that: to bring the rigour of professional prospect research and due diligence to organisations of every size, and to the markets where their work happens.

Celia Owusu, Founder

Philanthropic intelligence and prospect research

Celia Owusu is a philanthropic intelligence and prospect research specialist, and the founder of Wealth for Impact Advisory. She helps international NGOs, foundations and social-impact organisations find the right funders, understand how to reach them and decide where to focus first.

Alongside WFI, Celia is Prospect Research & Insight Manager at Christian Aid, where she leads prospect research, philanthropic intelligence and due diligence for fundraising teams around the world. Her work there includes research on some of the organisation's flagship strategic priorities, and she has introduced new approaches to how prospects are assessed, prioritised and vetted.

Her research spans Africa, Asia, the UK and wider international markets. As an independent consultant, she has worked on international projects with organisations including the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and Start Network.

Earlier in her career, she supported major donor fundraising at King Edward VII's Hospital and carried out political and reputational research at the Labour Party, where she developed her judgement in sensitive, high-stakes research.

Celia uses AI-enabled research tools to work faster across markets, but every finding is checked by a person against a dated public source. AI speeds up the search; human judgement decides what is reliable.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent. In December 2026, she will speak at Fundraising Everywhere's Trusts and Major Donors Conference on "Rapid Research: A No-Nonsense System for Finding and Vetting Prospects."
